Smart Scheduling, Finally in the Right Place: Polls Come to Outlook
Scheduling polls are coming directly to the new Outlook meeting creation dialog.
Despite all the advances with smart tools like Copilot, scheduling meetings continues to be a rather tiresome process for many. And a simple intervention like a scheduling poll, where you can suggest available times and just let the intended participants pick those that work for them, actually it really effective.
When would you use this? Perhaps you have a largish meeting with lots of people with calendars you can't access. Perhaps you have internal participants who stubbornly refuse to keep their Outlook calendars up to date. Or maybe the situation warrants providing some options rather than just selecting a free time. This allows you to gather preferences and find a good match.
AI is an answer to many things, but it's not an answer (at least not right now) to all things; so, it's great to see continued work on bringing common sense features like this to where you're most likely to get value from them.
