The Curious Case of the Disappearing “Copilot with Claude” Agent

Where did it go?

A few weeks ago, a new agent, "Copilot with Claude" arrived and was available in multiple tenants I have access to. But now, where has it gone?

First brought to my attention by Massimiliano Belletti in a comment on a post here yesterday, I have now confirmed that this agent appears to have vanished from everywhere it previously was in my environments.

The strange thing is, there was no announcement of its arrival OR its departure. Normally the experience is waiting for Copilot features that have been announced to release, so having one that was released but never announced just vanish unlocks a new anxiety.

A silver lining in this is that I didn't think the experience of this agent was very good. It did not have Work IQ context like the main Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat, so it did not, in my opinion, show off the best of the Claude Sonnet 4.5 model in the context of being part of Copilot (it was very much not "Copilot with Claude") My hope is it returns, perhaps better, perhaps stronger, and hopefully with a Message center notification so we all know what on Earth is going on!

If or when that tantalizing integration of Copilot Chat proper with Claude actually happens, I suspect it's going to be VERY good.
