Copilot Meets SharePoint Lists: The Context IQ Upgrade That Really Matters
Another important upgrade is coming to Context IQ for Microsoft 365 Copilot users: soon you will be able to ground prompts directly in SharePoint Lists data.
This is a feature that many users have been waiting for and comes on the heels of Copilot also getting greater visibility into the content of custom columns in SharePoint document libraries.
One thing that's important to note as this rolls out but is not amplified in documentation is that Copilot getting access to data is one thing, understanding it is another. The contextual information that will allow Copilot to understand what your list represents must come from your data design and descriptions; we see this same pattern with document metadata implementations like Knowledge Agent.
This will start to rollout late March and be available globally by early April. For more information see MC1235746 in Microsoft message center.
