The Small Copilot Feature That Shows Microsoft’s Big Advantage in AI

What makes Microsoft 365 Copilot different isn't the AI model or the smartness in comparison to services like ChatGPT or Claude, but the integration with how you actually work.

It's a small feature but if you ask Copilot Chat to draft an email, you can now move that directly over to Outlook with one click. These types of integrations are more and more becoming part of Copilot, surfacing the deep alignment these products promise with existing Microsoft 365 capabilities.

By layering AI on top of your existing data, respecting all your security and compliance controls, and bringing the latest technology into the tools your teams are using daily, Microsoft's value proposition for AI is distinct in the market.

However, it's also important to recognize that even with this level of integration, knowing what features exist and how to build them into the flow of work takes adoption effort. Copilot is more plug-and-play than most other platforms for most users but getting it right does require more than just buying the licenses.
