Decoupling Access: Researcher and Analyst Agents Get More Flexibility in Copilot
Access to the Researcher and Analyst Agents for Microsoft 365 Copilot users is being decoupled from admin controls that allow agents to be enabled or disabled for users in the environment.
With the way Copilot is developing with core features being absorbed into agent experiences - a slightly different approach than competitors like ChatGPT or Claude, at least in the surface of the UI that is addressable by the user - ensuring capabilities like Researcher remain available to users makes a lot of sense.
Access to these tools can still be limited in your environment if you make that choice, but you get the choice to approach these core agents and all other agents separately, enhancing your ability to set-up your tenant in the way that makes most sense for your organization.
