Frontier Program Takes Center Stage in Microsoft 365 Admin Center
The Frontier Program is now featured prominently in the admin center, with it seeming to appear for Microsoft 365 Copilot-enabled organizations that have not yet activated Frontier features.
It's important to remember that these features are early access, so while you are indeed getting Microsoft's latest AI innovations, you are also getting the ones that might not be quite ready for primetime.
That said, from the early arrival of a couple of agents, the scope of the Frontier Program feels like it is really starting to become clear. New capabilities that were prominently featured at hashtag#MSIgnite like Microsoft Agent 365 and Project Opal are part of this program, alongside features we also had available like Workflows Agent and App Builder Agent.
There are also Frontier capabilities available for Microsoft 365 Personal, Family or Premium subscriptions.
While preview features are exciting, there are other, and potentially safer, ways to get more from your investment in Microsoft 365 Copilot. Focusing on adoption of generally available features to maximize your ROI rather than constantly chasing down the latest release can deliver a lot more in the long term. However, part of adoption is maintaining positivity and excitement about the technology, so there does need to be balance here.
What is your balance between advocating for new features and focusing on getting more from the ones you already have?
