From Stock Footage to AI Creativity: Meet Sora 2 in Microsoft 365

Microsoft 365 Copilot now includes Sora 2 video generation for users with access to Frontier Program features.

This latest OpenAI video generation model allows you to create clips with AI rather than just using stock footage which was the previous video creation experience.

Access to this is available under the Create tab.

The quality of AI-generated video continues to increase and as a filler option for gaps in stock footage availability it makes perfect sense to be part of the video creation tooling available in Microsoft 365. More broadly though, this continues to be an aspect of AI development that most encompasses many of the risks this technology creates.

It's important that if you make features like these available to users in your business that you ensure your responsible AI guidance and policies keep pace with the tools at your disposal. Being clear on where tools are appropriate or not, how your brand should be represented by AI-generated assets, and in what manner AI use declarations that go beyond a watermark need to be included with work are all vital.

New technology options are fantastic where they can boost productivity and user satisfaction, but having a governance strategy that keeps pace with the current AI feature race can be one of the biggest challenges.

How do you see AI-generated video being used in your business?
