Zoom Learning Center
My day-to-day video conferencing go-to is Microsoft Teams but the pervasive nature of Zoom (it's acquired its status as a verb after all) makes it an extremely important platform for the majority of us to use, whether daily or infrequently.
One of the things that I believe sets Microsoft's products apart is the richness and availability of documentation and training materials, with a great deal of effort put into not just giving users information but coaching them through learning it, whether just on how to use a productivity app or making complex administrative changes to mission critical systems. Microsoft Docs and their learning platform Learn is invaluable to me.
Last week Zoom announced on their blog that they are introducing their own very similar learning platform, the Zoom Learning Center. This already has a rich course catalog, covering everything from basic set-up for the end user to business account administration. Importantly, it is also a free resource.
I've run through a couple of the modules, and the quality seems really good. Everything is clear and understandable. It is great to see a company investing in its users in this way.
